How to Play Bingo While Watching Netflix (Free Chrome Extension)

Passive watching is kind of boring. You are on the couch, the show is fine, and fifteen minutes in half the room is on their phone. Playing bingo while watching Netflix fixes that instantly — every scene becomes something to watch for, and everyone is suddenly competing to tap their card first.

The BingWow Chrome extension makes this work without any tab-switching. Your bingo card lives in a side panel next to your stream, always visible, always one tap away.

How to Set It Up (3 Steps)

  1. Install the extension — Go to the Chrome Web Store and hit “Add to Chrome.” Takes about 30 seconds.
  2. Pick a card — Open the extension while your streaming tab is active. Browse trending cards or search by category — TV shows, movies, sports, reality TV, and more. Start a game and you get a room code instantly.
  3. Share the room code with friends — Send them the 5-letter code or the invite link. They open BingWow on any device, join the room, and everyone is playing the same live game. No account required on either end.

Your card stays open in the side panel the entire time. When a moment from your card happens on screen, tap it to claim it. First to complete a line of 5 wins the round. Cards reset automatically so you can keep playing all episode.

Works With 11 Streaming Services

Netflix gets the headline, but the extension works with everything you already have:

  • Netflix
  • Hulu
  • Peacock
  • Max
  • Paramount+
  • Disney+
  • Apple TV+
  • Prime Video
  • Crunchyroll
  • Tubi
  • Discovery+

The extension auto-detects which service you have open and surfaces relevant cards. Open a Netflix tab and BingWow knows you are streaming — no manual setup needed.

Wildcard Mode: Everyone Gets a Unique Board

Standard bingo gives everyone the same 24 clues in different positions. Wildcard Mode goes further: each player gets a mix of core clues that everyone shares, plus some clues that only appear on their board. Nobody has the exact same card.

This matters more than it sounds. With unique boards, you are not racing the same moments — you are each watching for different things. Someone might be hunting for a clue nobody else has, which creates completely different gameplay across the same show.

Look for cards with Wildcard Mode enabled when you browse — they are marked in the card library.

No Account, No Setup, Just Play

The friction is genuinely zero. Install the extension once. After that:

  • Open any streaming tab
  • Click the BingWow icon in your Chrome toolbar
  • Pick a card and start a game
  • Share the code with friends — they do not need the extension or an account

Friends watching from their phone can join at bingwow.com using the room code. The full game works on any device — the extension is just the cleanest experience for the person running the stream on a laptop or desktop.
