Want a full-length game instead? Use the 75-ball bingo caller (US standard) or the 90-ball bingo caller (UK style).

How 30-ball speed bingo works

30-ball bingo — usually called speed bingo — is the fastest standard format. Each card is a 3×3 grid holding nine numbers drawn from 1 to 30, with no free space. The caller above draws balls 1 through 30. Because the number pool is small and the card is tiny, most games are won within a minute or two.

Decide the win condition before you start. The usual one is a single completed line — any row, column, or diagonal of three. Some hosts play full card (all nine numbers, also called blackout) when they want a slightly longer round. Either way, tell players the rule up front so everyone is playing for the same thing.

When to use speed bingo

  • Classroom transitions and brain breaks. A complete game fits in the few minutes between activities — project the flashboard and run a quick round to reset the room.
  • Party and event warmups. Open with a couple of fast rounds to get everyone playing before a longer game or the main activity.
  • Between rounds of a longer game. Slot a speed round in while you reset cards or hand out prizes for a 75-ball or 90-ball game.
  • Quick prize rounds. When you want several winners in a short window rather than one long game, speed bingo produces them fast.
  • Younger players. The small card and short games suit shorter attention spans.

Running a speed bingo game with this caller

  1. The caller above is already set to 30-ball — the flashboard shows numbers 1 to 30.
  2. Turn on Auto Call and pick the fastest interval so the game keeps moving.
  3. Click Fullscreen so the whole room can read the called numbers.
  4. Stop as soon as a player completes a line (or full card, if you chose that) and check their nine numbers against the flashboard.
  5. Press New Game to reshuffle and run the next round.

Frequently asked questions

What is 30-ball speed bingo?
A 3×3 card with nine numbers drawn from 1 to 30, no free space. The small pool and tiny card mean a game is usually won in a minute or two — ideal for warmups, brain breaks, and quick prize rounds.
How do you win at 30-ball bingo?
Usually a full line — any row, column, or diagonal of three. Some hosts play full card (all nine numbers, also called blackout) for a longer round. Set the rule before you start.
Is this caller free?
Yes — no ads, no signup, no download. It runs in any browser and projects fullscreen for a classroom, party, or event.
When should I use speed bingo instead of regular bingo?
Short windows: a classroom transition, a party icebreaker, the gap between rounds of a longer game, or any time you want several quick winners. For full-length games use the 75-ball or 90-ball caller.
