Want a full-length game instead? Use the 75-ball bingo caller (US standard) or the 90-ball bingo caller (UK style).
How 30-ball speed bingo works
30-ball bingo — usually called speed bingo — is the fastest standard format. Each card is a 3×3 grid holding nine numbers drawn from 1 to 30, with no free space. The caller above draws balls 1 through 30. Because the number pool is small and the card is tiny, most games are won within a minute or two.
Decide the win condition before you start. The usual one is a single completed line — any row, column, or diagonal of three. Some hosts play full card (all nine numbers, also called blackout) when they want a slightly longer round. Either way, tell players the rule up front so everyone is playing for the same thing.
When to use speed bingo
- Classroom transitions and brain breaks. A complete game fits in the few minutes between activities — project the flashboard and run a quick round to reset the room.
- Party and event warmups. Open with a couple of fast rounds to get everyone playing before a longer game or the main activity.
- Between rounds of a longer game. Slot a speed round in while you reset cards or hand out prizes for a 75-ball or 90-ball game.
- Quick prize rounds. When you want several winners in a short window rather than one long game, speed bingo produces them fast.
- Younger players. The small card and short games suit shorter attention spans.
Running a speed bingo game with this caller
- The caller above is already set to 30-ball — the flashboard shows numbers 1 to 30.
- Turn on Auto Call and pick the fastest interval so the game keeps moving.
- Click Fullscreen so the whole room can read the called numbers.
- Stop as soon as a player completes a line (or full card, if you chose that) and check their nine numbers against the flashboard.
- Press New Game to reshuffle and run the next round.
